Everyone needs those songs to cry to when they're feeling a little sad. Here are mine (not in any specific order):
Let's start with All Time Low - "Therapy"
I listen to this when I feel hurt or when I don't want anyone to help me. Obviously, every song is open to interpretation, but to me this songs about pushing people away and refusing help when you probably need it the most. "I'm a walking travesty but I'm smiling at everthing" is one of my favourite lines. To me, it means that you're broken, a walking disaster, and yet you still manage to pull that smile off.
Okay moving on to my second song is Architects - "Heartburn" (official acoustic)
I just think this song is a really chill one to listen to when you're sad. To me, this song is about being caught up in your past and being unhappy with your life. It's about being hurt. "Burn everything you have and leave it all behind" is a lovely line, encouraging the person to start again.
Moving on to Lower Than Atlantis - "Another Sad Song"
This songs rather self explanatory. It's about a boy reminiscing over his past; his childhood. It's about how everything was so care free and there were no worries. "We all make mistakes from time to time, unfortunelty for me, being me was mine." This line is my favourite. It's a self-pity type song. I love crying to this song!
Next the Casino Brawl - "The Cause & the Definite Effect"
Not a popular band I don't think, but this song makes me cry nevertheless! When I'm sad and feel like everything just isn't worth it anymore, this song makes me feel alright again. I suggest listening to the lyrics closely, as its not a studio recorded song.
And last but not least, Simple Plan - "Perfect"
This song really hits home for me. I can relate to this song a lot because my dad and I used to have a perfect relationship, but then things were said and it has never really been the same. I should get into it really haha! But simple plan always finds the right things to say in their songs.
And that's it for my top 5 songs to cry to! I would have done 10, but I'm afraid I'll be late for my Spanish exam (oops)!
